Eligibility Requirements

For all completed applications, final decision notifications will be made via e-mail before or by September 15, 2024. 

Requirements and Preferences:
1. Enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe;

Note: if you are not enrolled in the N. Cheyenne Tribe, but you are in the formal process of re-connecting then, please provide clear 1 page maximum pdf summary documenting these efforts to reconnect. Send pdf by email to corey@iastate.edu

2. Enrolled in an accredited college or university for at least 6 units (e.g. half-time), but preferred 12+ units (e.g. full-time); Students enrolled in Trade Schools will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
3. Preference for STEM Majors and Careers (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), but not required.
4. For continuing undergraduates, overall GPA 2.5+ preferred; Note: Graduate students will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
5. Preference for students with Pell Grant eligibility or have student loans, but not required.
6. A $1000 check payment will be mailed directly to the Awardee or can be arranged to be picked up at the Northern Cheyenne Tribal Education Office:

7. Awardees are eligible to re-apply and receive this award in future years.
8. Acceptance of this Scholarship requires a brief “End of the Academic Year Progress Report” (1-page maximum) submitted to corey@iastate.edu
